However, I had never been to America or taken a trip by myself, before I went to Space Camp in Alabama. I was scared and worried, but, in the end, the great experiences at Space Camp had a significant effect on my ability to make American friends, my decision to study in the United States, and my career goals.
European Space Camp is an independent nonprofit organisation organising a week-long summer camp for youth all over the world aged 17-20, where participants get to learn about space and rocket physics as well as participate in a hands on rocket campaign. A team consisting of a guy who just entered to meet girls, a wanna be astronaut and an instructor who wanted to go on a mission instead of teaching can sit in the Shuttle while testing the engines.
Having seen Space Camp a number of times as a kid (but not since) I can weigh in on this. Space Camp is bananas. At no point during actual Space Camp are cadets in any danger of being accidentally.
